GARDENINGWe have planted our old favourites the Jalapeno, Manzanno, Annaheim, Cayenne and Poblano as well as some exciting new varieties including Pepperdew and the new hottest chilli in the world, the Naga. Every year we hope for a good crop but we have to wait and see what toll the bower birds, cut worms and slugs take on the young seedlings, somehow we always manage to overcome the odds. Our organic gardening techniques make such a huge difference, thick mulch means minimum watering and few weeds and our fish and sawdust compost always has the plants looking lush and healthy but you never know what you've got until its all over. March and April are our main harvest months and people are welcome to drop in at this time to walk amongst the chillies and pick a few fresh ones to take home. |

WHAT'S COOKINGThe kitchen is always busy with all of the chillies and tomatoes coming through. The rich aromas of Chipotle or Kasoundi cooking fill the air on many an early morning and a few of the locals have been dropping in to stock up, they know which product we are cooking because they can smell it as they drive past. A good harvest means we make a lot of wine which will ferment for the next 3-6 months, it's always exciting to follow a new vintage from start to finish, not much rain means lots of flavour and plenty of heat. |

MARKETS AND FESTIVALSMarkets are the most fantastic way for us to sell our product, not only can people try before they buy but they can also have a chat to whoever is on our stall and find out what makes us a bit different from the rest, come and say gidday and meet the people behind the product. We have a great little team of family and friends doing markets at the moment, so keep an eye out for us at The Rocks Aroma Festival, Grafton Jacaranda Festival, Tilba Festival, Narooma Oyster Festival, Sawtell and Jindivick Chilli Festivals and many local markets including Moruya, Kiama, Camden and Newcastle. |
